Floating Sound Baths:

Friday, January 24th

It's baaaaaack!

My yoga room will be transformed into a sound bath oasis. The soothing tones of gongs, singing bowls, and chimes will envelop you as you retreat into your aerial hammock for a suspended and supported savasana. It's an incredible way to transition into the weekend.

I'm co-hosting this event with Anne Hajek. Anne is a friend, a fellow yoga teacher, and a sound healing master.

Release & Restore: An Aerial Yoga Experience:

Saturday, January 25th

8:30 - 10 am

Join me for a journey of movement, myofascial release techniques, and the unique use of props, including the aerial hammock. Together, we’ll release tension, reset the nervous system, and restore balance, creating harmony between body, mind, and spirit. This soothing aerial yoga experience allows you to unwind, reset, and nurture yourself. We'll conclude with an extended floating savasana.

2024 Review

Last year at this time, in addition to the holidays, we were celebrating two recent engagements and a college graduation. My husband Adam and I had also recently remodeled the lower level as a yoga studio space and I launched my first aerial offering.

As I sat down to review 2024, I found it could best be described in numbers (and pictures). When the kids were little, I often wondered what this stage of life would be like. Well, I've learned that it's far from boring!

wedding in Kauai - at sunrise. This event included 11 days with two families hiking, swimming, surfing, and playing together.

A marvelous trip in every possible way.

dump truck loads of dirt removed from our yard to add retaining walls and create usable gathering spaces.

Semi-truck loads of retaining wall block delivered. We couldn't fit all the pallets on the driveway as we also needed space for umpteen tons of gravel. Some pallets were placed in the backyard. We also ripped up our existing patio. We became part-time meteorologists as we had to be prepared for any and all drops of rain at all times.

beautiful years celebrated with Adam's Dad. He passed away suddenly in July.

7 . . .

days without power after the July 31st Omaha storm. The storm hit the day after the funeral, wreaking havoc at home and at our rental, where I was supposed to turn over the keys to a new tenant the next day. There was plenty of damage and a huge, muddy mess . . . for a long time afterwards.

the number of perennials we purchased and planted in our yard this summer. We also added 24 trees. Did I mention that I LOVE shopping for plants?

So many of you have asked me if the yard is done yet. The answer: yes and no. All the walls were completed, fire pit patio built, and sod installed. I have more planting to do come spring, and we intend to add an outdoor kitchen as time and weather (oh, and funds) permit. Stop by or visit my studio anytime to check on the progress!

years of marriage celebrated . . . while in Cabo for a yoga teaching stint.

Yoga teaching hours accumulated, and yet so much left to learn.

grandbaby on the way . . . our first!! The due date was 12/28 (it came . . . and went!) We are on pins and needles waiting for the call. When labor begins, we'll jump in the car and head their way . . . about a 7 hour drive. Baby boy Frisbie coming soon!
