Small moments of summer ☀️

May 15, 2026

Hello Reader,

Summer is right around the corner. This is a season I don't have to talk myself into.

Last fall I built the Float Into Winter workshop when I could feel myself bracing for the colder months ahead. That workshop was designed to help us ease into the season with less resistance. The hush of winter invites us to listen more deeply.

By contrast, summer is active and loud. Our spring weather makes it feel as if summer has already arrived. I'm waking up to the birds before dawn - they noticed the shift early and adjusted without effort.

I'm taking their cue and finding small moments to appreciate it.

A walk between meetings. Two minutes of sun in my face. Checking in on my plants, flowers, trees — noticing what's growing, budding, blooming. It's little — and it's big. If summer feels loud and busy for you too, let this be permission to take what's offering.

If you need a small reset after your workday, try the 5-minute shoulder release.

Upcoming Events:

Small groups. Quiet space. Real reset.

Float Into Release — Thursday, May 28, 6pm. 90 minutes of aerial yoga blended with myofascial release. For when your body needs more than stretching. FULL WITH WAITLIST.

Float Into Summer — Friday, June 19, 6:30pm. The third workshop in my seasonal series. Two hours of flowy aerial yoga, essential oils, breathwork, extended floating savasana, and a closing herbal tea ritual. ONE SPOT LEFT.

Wellness Tip:

The Case for Water Before Coffee

Most of us wake up dehydrated. After seven to nine hours without fluid, the body is starting the day already short. Then comes coffee — which makes the deficit worse.

The result is what many people simply call "morning": brain fog, fatigue, joint stiffness, muscle cramps. Even mild dehydration affects cognition and energy.

What helps: drink water before you reach for anything else.

Last year I broke my "run to the coffee machine first" habit. Every morning, I fill a twenty-ounce mason jar with water and electrolytes to replace what I lost overnight. Once that's finished, I have my coffee.

BIG difference. It's the single easiest wellness practice I can recommend.

P.S. I'm heading out soon on a little yoga adventure. With my next two events at or near capacity, I'm working on dates for what's next. I received a request for another floating sound bath (coming this fall). How about a backyard yoga session and discussion circle? If there's a practice you've been craving — something on your wish list — hit reply and tell me. I'll be reading, planning, and creating while I'm away. 🥰

Have a beautiful weekend,
